To be or not to be a librarian in the 21st century

Why I want to be a librarian

My name is Lisa Coats and I am working on this website while getting my MLIS at Rutgers University. I went to Temple University and Virginia Commonwealth University for my BA and MA in English Literature.
I enjoy working with people and I love books! I am commited to helping others research, write, read, and learn. Growing up, I was also drawn to this field as my father is a librarian and encouraged me to read and enjoy books.
My resume shows that I have experience in many forms of libraries from legal and non-profit to higher education and archives. What my resume does not show is my work study at the American Library in Paris which was my most exciting library experience.
