Maybe you want to put your collections online, but you don't have the budget or staff to digitize them.

However, the great thing about 21st century technology is that you can do it yourself! With the help of a regular digital camera and tripod, you can set up a home book scanning station and start building your collection right away.

The Process

• Set up your scanning station using a cardboard box, spotlamp, and your camera and tripod and take pictures of each page.
• Upload the pictures to your computer and edit the images if necessary.
