A term used to describe the period between the 1980s and the present, those living in the Information Age have witnessed a dramatic expansion in computer, information, and web technologies that have wholly changed the ways in which local, national, and global communities communicate, interact, develop, and conduct business. Since the dawn of the Information Age, librarians have worked hard to stay ahead of the curve--and they have brought their patrons along for the ride.
