KAY E. VANDERGRIFT


Professor Kay Vandergrift
is currently Associate Dean, Director of the Information Technology & Informatics Program, and Director of Distance Education at the School of Communication, Information and Library Studies (SCILS), Rutgers University.

Courses and Website
Her award-winning website and two of her courses are featured on this website, Materials for Children and Materials for Young Adults. They are required courses for many graduate students seeking a Masters in Library and Information Science and certification to work in school or public libraries.

Teaching Excellence Award
Professor Vandergrift received the Teaching Excellence Award from the Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE) in 2001.
