It is essential that VR specialists understand the complexities of the information needs and goals of the several groups that comprise their user community-the art historians, artists, computing professionals, administration and students. The skills of the VR Librarian must transverse professions to encompass the realm of the archival, the historical and the technological. Multimedia skills enable visual resource specialists to create effective user centered systems in a variety of formats and applications.

 

Multimedia Production is alaboratory course in the design and production of multimedia resources for libraries, media centers, and information systems and other informational applications. Examines and critiques current uses of new media and provides skills in user-centered multimedia design.
