Information Literacy

The Information Literacy Standards for Student Learning set the benchmarks for what we hope to empower our students with: independent learning, social responsibility, and the ability to access, evaluate, and use information effectively.
There are many online resources not only for teaching these skills, but also for helping you to evaluate and select information sources.
Library Skills Resources Evaluation of Information Sources
A+ Research & Writing (from the Internet Public Library)
Critical Thinking (especially regarding the Internet)
Critical Evaluation Information (from Kathy Schrock's Guide for Educators)
