About Union Man

This project was completed as a final deliverable for Professor Anselm Spoerri's Digital Media Production course in the Master of Communication and Information Studies program at Rutgers University.

I wanted to tell my father's story for a few reasons. I wanted to show him what he looks like through his daughter's eyes, to show him how interesting his story really is. I wanted to be a voice for a story that deserves to be told but is so often misunderstood and interpreted as "ordinary." I wanted to learn more about him and about myself, about why we work and who we are when we work. He said that getting to see a project like this about himself is something that most people don't ever get to see, that only arises after they're gone. I want to show my dad how interesting his life has been now, while he still has a whole life ahead of him to live, so he can carry a feeling of pride with him as he moves forward in his career and in life.
