Librarians can extend their reach outside of the library by starting a liaison program with various departments, attending departmental meetings, creating professional development programs for teachers about library resources and services, and working with teachers to develop curriculum.

By working with teachers, they know what is happening in the classroom and can better coordinate efforts to provide the best support for the students.
