 Introduction (cont.)

Before you begin

To run Souvenir you will need the following:

     Windows 95/98/NT

     64 megabytes of memory

     Internet Access

     Sound card and speaker(s)

Microsoft Media Player version 6.0 and up (distributed with Microsoft Windows) or RealNetworks RealPlayer G2 version 6.0 and up.

If you don’t have a copy of Microsoft Media Player, or if your version of the Media Player is prior to version 6.0, you can download its latest version at:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/mediaplayer/download/Win32IE4x86.asp.

The RealNetworks RealPlayer can be downloaded from www.real.com.

Getting Started

A time limited Souvenir can be made available as a free download from the Internet. Unzip the downloaded file into a temporary directory. You can run the installation by double clicking "Setup". The setup program will create a directory and copy the Souvenir software to it. By default, the files are copied to a directory named c:\Program Files\i-Recall Souvenir. You have now installed the Souvenir.

Launching the Demo

Souvenir consists of two components: the Souvenir Desktop application and the Souvenir Media Player. To run Souvenir, just launch the desktop application. You can do this by clicking on the shortcuts created in the i-Recall Souvenir folder on the Start Menu à Programs. If you get the message informing you that the databases can not be opened, then see "Troubleshooting".
